Glastonbury Festival is teaming up with Oxfam to raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Turkey-Syria Earthquake appeal, and in exchange, they are giving away 10 sets of tickets, each with a once-in-a-lifetime experience to lucky winners. The DEC member charities, including Oxfam, are working in Turkey and Syria with local partners to support survivors of the earthquakes, and by participating in the raffle, the public can help them reach as many people as possible with clean water, food, sanitation, shelter, and other urgent support. The entries are now open, and they will be accepted until 12 noon on Wednesday, 8th March. To guarantee one entry, a £10 donation is required, and although there is no limit on the number of times one person can enter, only one prize per entrant will be given. Free entry (without making a donation to the earthquake appeal) is also available by post.

Similar to the previous charity initiative in aid of the Trussell Trust, these pairs of tickets come with what is being billed as once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for fans at the festival. Glastonbury Festival helped raise over £116,000 in aid of The Trussell Trust in a partnership auction to help support people facing hardship across the UK. The money was put up in a series of 10 eBay auctions run by the food bank charity to raise funds for their network of over 1,300 food banks scattered across the country. The total from all ten auctions amounted to £116,738, with the “cheapest” pair of tickets selling for £10,200, which included the chance to watch a set from the Other Stage viewing platform.

All prizes in the Oxfam raffle include two general admission tickets to the Glastonbury Festival 2023 and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The first prize is entry for two to the festival and a chance to watch a set from the Pyramid Stage viewing platform, while the second prize is entry for two and a chance to watch a set from the Other Stage viewing platform. The third prize includes entry for two and a chance to watch a set from the Pyramid Stage viewing platform, and the fourth prize includes entry for two and a chance to watch a set from the Other Stage viewing platform. The fifth prize allows entry for two and the chance to introduce an act on The Park stage, while the sixth prize offers entry for two and an exclusive small ad in the Glastonbury Free Press and the first copy of the paper off the press. The seventh prize includes entry for two and a backstage tour of West Holts and a chance to watch an act from the stage pit. The eighth prize offers entry for two and a pre-show tour of the festival site, while the ninth prize allows entry for two and the Glastonbury-On-Sea experience. Finally, the tenth prize provides entry for two and an experience at The Common.

Overall, this is a fantastic opportunity for fans to not only attend the Glastonbury Festival but also to win a once-in-a-lifetime experience while helping out a great cause.
